We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at our Vancouver office.

     

    Reporting to the Director of B.C and the Territories, in this role you will support the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer and B.C. Office administrative needs, as well as provide member support. You display a high degree of integrity, confidentiality and tact. You have solid experience in administrative work, strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple demands in a fast pace environment. You are extremely motivated, proactive, and resourceful and have exceptional communication skills.

     

    Highlights of Responsibilities

    • Handle administrative work and confidential matters Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer
    • Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of meetings and conferences
    • Protect confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Arrange and coordinate extensive travel arrangements
    • Handle routine replies to enquiries on own initiative or from brief instructions
    • Assist in drafting and/or reviewing communications
    • Helps prepare materials and documents for presentation
    • Maintain filing system and ensure accuracy of all items filed and maintain up-to-date system
    • Keep expense records and complete expense reports
    • Research and compile information as required
    • Participate in special or ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
    • Exercise good judgment in responding to issues pertaining to CFIB  

    Highlights of Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role
    • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills
    • Competent in dealing with people from all levels of organizations including senior executives
    • Excellent phone manner and projects and maintains a professional image at all times
    • Demonstrated excellent writing skills to prepare drafts and correspondence
    • Work with a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail while meeting very tight deadlines
    • Works well and collaboratively within a team and able to work independently to complete tasks
    • Well organized and responsible with an aptitude for problem-solving
    • Demonstrated competence in scheduling
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Awareness of current affairs and government policy is a bonus
